ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Patrice Hoerster grew up with a mutly dog friend she shared with family. She found the joy of a deeper
canine bond later in life. Alex and Dizzy’s story draws on her experiences training her own dogs for sport
as well as puppy for a service dog group. Now retired from career as an Administrative Professional, she
resides in South Carolina with her Golden Retriever, Hooley. When not involved in dog events, Patrice
expands her creative footprint through sidewalk chalk art, leaving creations of joy in unexpected places.
