- ➤ Emergency shelters remain open in Anderson, Greenville and Spartanburg as the National Weather Service upgraded its winter storm warning; snow will start at 3:00 a.m. today with accumulation expected from 2 to 6 inches plus gusty winds may cause drifting. - ➤ The National Weather Service advises residents to dress in layers and avoid cotton as cold weather continues today with highs in the teens and windchills dropping into single digits Sunday – be sure to cover extremities to prevent frostbite and hypothermia. WYFF
- ➤ Spartanburg County recorded more than 750 measles cases since October 2025, and local health officials urge residents to recognize key symptoms like fever and rash * they recommend reviewing reliable guidance to prevent further spread. Go Upstate
- ➤ Doctors at AnMed Health advise parents to bundle children before snow play on Saturday, recommending gear — water-resistant coats, boots, gloves and scarves — to prevent hypothermia and frostbite.
