GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ South Carolina lawmakers are debating House Bill 4725 that would require cameras and audio recordings in special education classrooms at public schools to boost oversight. Schools must file annual privacy reports and notify families before enrollment, while redacted recordings become public records with penalties for noncompliance. WYFF
- ➤ Residents will spring forward on Sunday, Mar. 8 when clocks shift from 2 to 3 a.m. Experts advise adjusting sleep schedules gradually to ease the hour loss. Go Upstate
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ DPH reports 13 new measles cases, raising the outbreak total to 933 with 235 in quarantine and six in isolation; Spartanburg County has most cases. DPH will offer free MMR vaccinations on Feb. 13 at Zion Hill Baptist Church (Inman) and March 3 at Grace Community Church (Spartanburg). WYFF
