  • Spartanburg County School District Six announced the death of longtime staffer Luann Sawyer on Facebook & she served at Jesse S. Bobo Elementary School in administration, library support, and after-school care.  WYFF

  • Byrnes boys basketball lost 84-76 to Ridge View in the SCHSL semifinals on Feb. 28 at Rock Hill High School, and coach Layne Fowler said he was proud of his team's effort and the bonds formed over the season.  Go Upstate
  • Clemson Tigers broke a four-game losing streak with an 80-75 win over No. 20 Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Littlejohn Coliseum; Jestin Porter scored 16 second-half points to secure their first ranked win.  Go Upstate
  • Greenville girls basketball beat Gaffney 57-44 on Feb. 28 at Wofford College - overcoming a four-point halftime deficit, they will join the boys for a state title doubleheader on March 5 at Colonial Life Arena.  Go Upstate
  • The Gamecocks face a winner-take-all baseball game today in Clemson at 3 p.m. after Game 2 saw Michael Sharman dominate, setting up a decisive battle as they try to clinch their first rivalry series since 2023.  The Post and Courier
