  • The Spartanburg County Historical Association is spotlighting the Seay House, the city’s oldest home, to share the story of the Seay sisters who owned property and helped establish Central United Methodist Church. ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices nationwide have jumped above $3.45 due to global supply issues, while local rates stay near $3.15 thanks to lower taxes. Experts say prices may rise another 20 to 50 cents soon + consumers should prepare for higher transportation costs.  Go Upstate

HEALTH NEWS

  • On March 10, SC Department of Public Health announced two new measles cases in Spartanburg County, bringing the total to 993. Health officials said 42 people are now in quarantine (a measure to limit further spread).  Go Upstate
  • Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s agreements with Aetna end on April 15, affecting both commercial and Medicare Advantage plans. Officials advise patients with Aetna Medicare plans to switch options by March 31 to avoid higher out-of-pocket costs and encourage contacting a broker or Aetna for help.  WYFF
