- ➤ Trader Joe's issued a voluntary recall of 61,500 bottles of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water after it learned the bottles may crack and cause lacerations. The recall covers products sold in 12 states+ including South Carolina from December 27, 2024 to January 28, 2025+ customers are urged to return affected bottles for a full refund. Go Upstate

- ➤ Spartanburg School District One plans to build two new schools for $125M to replace aging Mabry Middle School and O.P. Earle Elementary School. Superintendent Mark Smith will present a proposal on April 21 and then ask voters to approve borrowing funds—financial advisors say no tax increase is expected. The Post and Courier

- ➤ The South Carolina Department of Transportation is launching a statewide Pothole Blitz to fill potholes damaged by winter weather—maintenance crews will work over the next several weeks to repair roads and improve travel safety.
