ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ New census data from March 26 shows Spartanburg metro is among the fastest growing in the nation, with the county’s population rising 3 percent to 380,857 from 2024 to 2025. Local officials link the growth to more job opportunities + rising infrastructure challenges. The Post and Courier
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The South Carolina Department of Revenue announced that the state tax filing deadline is extended to Oct. 15 due to legislative delays in matching federal law. Taxpayers who owe money must still pay at least 90% by April 15 to avoid penalties. Go Upstate
