- ➤ Music on Main returned to downtown Spartanburg’s Morgan Square on April 2 and runs every Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. with free concerts scheduled through August. The Post and Courier
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A cat in Belton tested positive for rabies on April 1 near Breazeale Street and Blair Mill Road, exposing 2 people and 25 pets (the fourth case in Anderson County this year). Health officials advise anyone with contact concerns to call the local DPH office. WYFF
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The South Carolina women's basketball Final Four game in Phoenix on April 3 saw celebrities sitting courtside as the Gamecocks took on UConn at 7 p.m. Football coach Shane Beamer attended along with noted figures (Jalen Hurts, Plies and Darius Rucker) from previous games. Go Upstate
- ➤ South Carolina women’s basketball forward Joyce Edwards set a season scoring record with 755 points yesterday at the Final Four at Mortgage Matchup Center—breaking the record set in 1977–78 during the game against UConn. Go Upstate
- ➤ The Hub City Spartanburgers started their second season on April 3 at Fifth Third Park against the Frederick Keys. Autograph sessions and an Easter hunt are scheduled for today and Sunday, and manager Carlos Maldonado (a former Major League catcher) looks forward to a strong season. The Post and Courier
