- ➤ Officers in Gaffney responded to a shooting at 2:24 p.m. on Saturday on the 1000 Block of North Granard Street—officials said the incident appears isolated with no ongoing threat to the public. WYFF
- ➤ Deputies said scammers copied the sheriff's office phone number to trick someone into paying an $11,900 bitcoin fine and then asking for $50,000 more — the victim later went to the office and found out the call was a scam. WYFF
- ➤ The Boiling Springs Fire Department responded to a bomb threat at a local Walmart on Apr 5—law enforcement closed the store at 4000 SC-9 and controlled traffic while investigating the area. WSPA
- ➤ On Friday, the Seventh Circuit Solicitor's Office announced that Roderick Shundale Dover, a 33-year-old who robbed a Cherokee County gas station on Nov. 11, 2022, was sentenced to 30 years for armed robbery + 5 years for possession of a weapon, with both sentences running concurrently. WYFF
