ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On April 6, Jonathan Majors and JC Kilcoyne fell through an unsecured window during filming of 'Run Hide Fight Infidels' in Gaffney, and production was halted as crew members raised persistent safety concerns.  Go Upstate

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Burgers & Bakery, located in a nearly century-old house on Highway 29, will close this summer when its lease ends. Owners Deana and Mike Okun plan to open Café on Main in Inman, which will include some menu items from the current restaurant (details pending).  The Post and Courier

ECONOMY NEWS

  • South Carolina gas prices are about $3.82 per gallon today as national rates have jumped above $4 due to global conflict (this follows recent sharp increases from last month). Experts say prices may rise further soon if market changes continue.  Go Upstate

HEALTH NEWS

  • New mothers can access postpartum nutrition support through state programs like WIC and Medicaid; WIC provides benefits up to 6 months for non-breastfeeding moms and 1 year for breastfeeding moms, and Medicaid covers 12 months of care to help with healing and infant health.  Spartanburg.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • A poll is underway to pick the Upstate Ingles high school boys athlete of the week for sports performances from March 30 through April 5. Voting ends at noon on April 9 and features finalists like Parker Davis and Hudson Cremmins.  Go Upstate
  • Voting is open until noon on April 9 for the Upstate Ingles girls Athlete of the Week vote, covering performances from March 30 to April 5. Finalists include pitchers, hitters, and goal scorers (such as Peyton Cutcher and Gracie Tompkins) from local schools.  Go Upstate
