ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A senior at Dorman High School, 18-year-old Brady Alexander Murphy from Roebuck, was reportedly killed at around 7 a.m. early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle wreck on I-26 east near mile marker 28, and investigators are reviewing the crash.  WSPA
  • At approximately 5:40 p.m. today Spartanburg police responded to a crash at the intersection of Camelot Drive & W. O. Ezell Blvd where a motorcycle collided with a Ford Edge and the rider later died at a local hospital.  WSPA

CRIME NEWS

  • Five teens face charges for murder and attempted murder after a shooting at Limestone Courts Apartments in Gaffney on March 29 that killed 18-year-old Javelin Dawkins and injured two others, with suspects Alex Davidson, Andre Scott and Travis Smith in jail and two unnamed teens detained pending further investigation—police said.  WYFF
  • Mikal Mahdi was executed by firing squad at 6:01 p.m. on April 11 for the 2004 murder of off-duty officer James Myers—making him the state's second person to be executed by this method—ending a long legal process.  The Post and Courier
  • The State Law Enforcement Division confirmed Saturday it is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Cherokee County — details are not yet available.  WSPA
