ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Spartanburg police said 27-year-old James Whitehead III died from injuries when his motorcycle collided with an SUV making a left turn at Camelot Drive and W.O. Ezell Boulevard around 5:40 p.m. Saturday— the SUV driver sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.  WYFF

CULTURE NEWS

  • Temple B’nai Israel hosted its first community Passover Seder in over 20 years on Sunday afternoon—an event that brought together 75 to 80 members to share the ancient tradition and story of the Exodus. Spiritual Leader Elliott McCarthy said the Seder involved months of planning and focused on teaching the meaning of Passover through conversation and symbolic foods.  WSPA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Transport Police announced that they will add extra officers to highways over the next few days as part of Operation SafeDRIVE — a measure aimed at reducing commercial vehicle collisions and unsafe driving practices. The increased presence will focus on Interstate-20, Interstate-85, and Interstate-95.  WSPA
