GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Henry McMaster signed H.4216 into law Wednesday in Greenville + the new two-tier system simplifies tax filing and lowers rates for low- and middle-income households while extending the tax deadline to Oct. 15; 2025 filings remain unchanged and new rules take effect next season.  WYFF
  • South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced on April 16 that a jury found Live Nation & Ticketmaster broke law by overcharging fans, with a $280 million settlement pending judge review; local concertgoers should not expect immediate ticket refunds while legal steps continue.  Go Upstate
