- ➤ A man, Ishear Tylik Warren, died after being shot on Tuesday at 8:20 p.m. on Seaboard Drive in Greer — police said he was shot during an argument, died at the hospital, and no arrests have been made. WYFF

- ➤ Doug Gray, lead singer for The Marshall Tucker Band, announced today he will take a break from touring because of health concerns—he will still help plan the upcoming All Our Friends Tour. - ➤ A mass hiring fair for construction jobs was held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the GB Hodge Center on USC Upstate campus—organizers from the Build for a Better Future Foundation and the Upstate Workforce Board said nearly 50 vendors offered on-the-spot interviews for jobs in fields like asphalt paving, general contracting, plumbing, and HVAC. The event hosted high school students until 2 p.m. and then college students and the general public until 6:30 p.m., with attendees urged to bring their resumes for immediate consideration. WSPA
