- ➤ The 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am named celebrities such as Bill Murray & Roger Clemens for its tournament week starting June 1, with official play on June 4-5 at the Country Club of Spartanburg and June 4-7 at Thornblade Club while benefiting nine charities. WYFF
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ State officials advised people and pets to avoid parts of Lake Greenwood after reports of dead fish in the Cross Hill area early in April. Agencies are investigating the fish kill and confirmed that nearby drinking water intakes are unaffected. WYFF
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Buffalo Bills selected Clemson defensive end T.J. Parker (6-foot-3, 260-pound) in the second round of the NFL Draft on April 24. Parker impressed scouts with his strong edge rushing skills and Senior Bowl performance. Go Upstate
- ➤ Spartanburg Day School will bring varsity football back after 40 years as it joins the SCISA conference for the 2026 season. Patrick Moffitt (who coached at St. Andrews School in Middletown, Delaware) will lead the team as spring practice runs from May 4-8 with a preseason scrimmage on Aug. 6. Go Upstate
