- ➤ Former WYFF 4 General Manager John Humphries (retired Dec. 2024) died Monday. He had spent 18 years at Hearst Television in the Greenville-Spartanburg market, worked at WBTV and WSPA-TV, and was inducted into the SC Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame; he is survived by his wife, three daughters and his granddaughter. - ➤ Breeze Airways began a direct flight from GSP to Columbus on May 8 with fares as low as $49. It will add two routes in July offering seasonal service to Cincinnati and year-round service to Ft. Lauderdale. The Post and Courier
- ➤ Workers at a Greer Starbucks voted 13 to 2 to unionize with Starbucks Workers United on May 8 — they seek higher pay, better staffing, and fairer treatment — and the National Labor Relations Board will certify the election. Go Upstate

- ➤ Dominion Energy will present a settlement to regulators on Tuesday that, if approved, sets a 7.6% rate hike starting in July, adding about $12 monthly to bills for 1,000-kWh users while lowering the originally proposed increase from $20 and using a $3 million shareholder subsidy to ease first-year costs. - ➤ Spartanburg School District 7 is accepting enrollment materials for 3K, 4K, and 5K students for the 2026-27 school year. 3K and 4K applications are due by May 22 with acceptance decisions by May 28 (additional applications may be processed in August if space remains). Spartanburg.com
