ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Fernando Ortiz, 30, died after crashing his motorcycle into a utility pole Saturday night on the eastbound side of John B. White Sr. Blvd.—a forensic exam is scheduled for today as Spartanburg PD investigates the crash. WSPA
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Logan Street last night at 7:45 p.m., Spartanburg police responded to a shooting where they found a man mowing his lawn who suffered multiple gunshot wounds—he later died at the hospital and four men were seen running from the scene. WYFF
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission named Kevin E. Howell, I.A.P., C.M. as the new president and CEO of the airport district, effective January 10th. He will serve as executive vice president until then and will lead efforts in airport operations, capital projects, and public safety. Spartanburg.com
