- ➤ Spartanburg police responded at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday after a suspect stole a running car from the Hot Spot gas station, hit a bystander’s vehicle at the Collins Avenue & Georgia Street intersection, and shot a woman in the thigh; she was treated at the hospital & the stolen car is a 2011 silver Honda Pilot as officers seek any leads. - ➤ Spartanburg will unveil the new Southside Cultural Monument on June 14 at 10 a.m. near Mary H. Wright Greenway Park at the corner of South Converse Street + Hudson Barksdale Boulevard, with leaders and a Wofford College art professor set to speak. The Post and Courier
