- ➤ USC Upstate baseball won its second straight Big South Tournament title on May 24 by beating Longwood (8-1) at Gardner-Webb's John Henry Moss Stadium, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament regionals. The Spartans reached the championship game for the fourth straight season. Go Upstate
- ➤ Eastside boys soccer won the state championship on penalty kicks after a 1-1 tie in regulation and four overtime periods (goalie Brandon Jaramillo made the winning save). Go Upstate
