- ➤ Town leaders in Honea Path began demolishing the historic Chiquola Mill site using a $2.6 million EPA brownfields grant, with demolition expected to last 120 days; afterward, developers will be recruited to transform the area while locals recall the mill’s storied past (including Bloody Thursday). - ➤ A PODS report shows Greenville-Spartanburg ranked fifth nationwide for moves as people from big cities seek affordable living, job opportunities, and outdoor recreation. The study tracked moves from Jan. 2025 to March and noted a surge of younger residents drawn to new beginnings. The Post and Courier

- ➤ Spartanburg County School District 6 provided free summer meals for children 18 and younger starting June 1 and running until July 24.
