- ➤ Data from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety shows Spartanburg County leads the state with 31 traffic fatalities while Greenville and Anderson counties report 15 and 10 deaths respectively — officials said many of these crashes can be prevented if drivers slow down and obey speed limits. - ➤ AESC paused construction on its $1.6B battery factory in Florence due to policy and market uncertainty and has invested over $1B into the project — the company plans to resume work and create 1,600 jobs when conditions improve.
