ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The South Carolina Highway Patrol said one person died when a car struck a utility pole and tree near Lowe Lane on Rainbow Lake Road Monday night, and the investigation is ongoing. WYFF
- ➤ A plane that left Spartanburg Downtown Airport on June 14 around 11:30 a.m. crashed near the border of South Carolina and North Carolina, killing two as it headed for Myrtle Beach— the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident. Go Upstate

- ➤ Wade’s Restaurant announced on Monday that it will open a new location called Wade’s Jr. on Reidville Road in early 2026 to offer a counter service menu and curbside pickup (the Pine Street restaurant will continue its full dine-in service). WSPA
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An off-duty officer from the Anderson Police Department was arrested in Wellford after police said she pointed a gun at a woman and her children during a road rage incident on I-85 near mile marker 67—she was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm and later booked before being released. WSPA
- ➤ Union County deputies are asking Fairwood residents to check their cameras after several cars were broken into between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Monday—if anyone finds useful footage, they should call 864-429-1611 to speak with a county deputy. WYFF
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium announced its 2025-2026 Broadway season with five shows including Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas on Nov. 26, Hadestown on Feb. 5, The Simon and Garfunkel Story on March 24, Clue on April 28, and Mrs. Doubtfire on June 11 — season subscriptions go on sale August 11 — and tickets will be available in the weeks leading up to each performance. - ➤ Free outdoor summer concerts are offered in several Upstate cities including Spartanburg's Music on Main in downtown Morgan Square where local artists will perform starting June 19th. Other cities like Greenville, Anderson and Clemson host similar events—providing residents a chance to enjoy diverse musical styles in community spaces throughout the summer. Go Upstate

- ➤ Lane closures on SC 101 near Woodruff, not far from North Main Street, began Monday as crews worked on road repairs daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until the end of June—drivers are urged to slow down in the work zone. WSPA
