ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A driver died in a single-vehicle crash Monday night at 8:38 p.m. on Rainbow Lake Road near Low Lane when a 2006 Mercury sedan left the road, hit a utility pole and then a tree—investigation continues as the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the driver. WSPA
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ 38-year-old Jonathan Adam Sarratt, who has been in prison for meth trafficking, burglary, and stolen vehicle charges since 2019, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute meth and was given a 25-year federal sentence — it also adds a five-year supervision period and a $1 million fine based on evidence that since early 2023 he sent over 250 kilograms of meth to a trafficking ring. - ➤ Conway teen Daniel Fox Fischer, 17, was arrested on June 9 on terrorism charges after he spent months trying to join ISIS and learning bomb-making techniques from videos and manuals that showed his intent to target property in the state—his case will be prosecuted by the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. - ➤ A 69-year-old man, identified as Jerry Eugene Radford of Inman, died Monday night in Spartanburg County when his car veered off Rainbow Lake Road near Lowe Lane and hit a utility pole+tree at the scene. WYFF
