  • Spartanburg County’s new 945-acre Glendale Nature Park has opened with over 3 miles of hiking trails — it runs along Lawson’s Fork Creek and connects to adjacent protected lands. The park was saved from a planned 1,000-home development by a $25 million purchase and a conservation easement held by SPACE — more trails will be added in the future.  The Post and Courier

  • Krispy Kreme confirmed a November 2024 cyberattack may have exposed personal information of 7,266 South Carolinians — names, financial details, and government IDs could have been affected. The company completed its investigation in May and is notifying those impacted while offering free identity protection services.  WSPA
  • Krispy Kreme confirmed that a cyberattack last November affected 7,266 South Carolina residents by compromising personal details like names, Social Security and driver’s license numbers, and the company said a May investigation found no evidence of misuse while it begins notifying impacted employees and families by mail — free credit monitoring is available to those affected.  WSPA

  • Spartanburg is celebrating Juneteenth with a juried art exhibition called Woven that features Southeastern quilters, weavers, and visual artists honoring BIPOC traditions—along with a statue unveiling, a museum tour, Music on Main, and a block party this weekend.
