- ➤ Jennifer L. Bengston Cook, a former part-time bookkeeper in Duncan, pleaded guilty to wire fraud and was sentenced to three years in federal prison—she must pay $2.2 million in restitution after stealing funds from her employer. WYFF
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, June 23, Spartanburg Water System had a water main break caused by a contractor that led to low water pressure for some customers. The affected main is being repaired and tested to ensure safety—customers are advised to boil water for at least one full minute before use—until further notice. WYFF
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A water main break led to a boil water advisory for parts of Spartanburg County (Monday). Residents are advised to boil all water before use (a safety measure) until the issue is resolved. WSPA
