- ➤ Spartanburg police arrested Zachary Hughes on Wednesday morning after he caused a disturbance on East Main Street near Spill the Beans by standing naked on a vehicle holding a gun and shooting rounds at a patrol car—he had been released from jail two hours earlier after a Sunday arrest. WSPA
- ➤ The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to find Clarendon Sauls—an elderly man with early on-set dementia reported missing from his home on Shallow Pond Court in Piedmont after he was last seen driving on the interstate in Spartanburg County; anyone with information is urged to call 864-260-4400. - ➤ With a heat advisory in effect today, Upstate pet experts advise Spartanburg pet owners to ensure their pets have plenty of water and shade, and to limit outdoor exercise until early morning—city ordinance requires pets to be in cool, climate-controlled areas with proper shade. Paul and Wendy Boehm of Hounds Town warn that shaving pets in summer may remove their natural heat protection—urging owners to monitor for signs of lethargy and heat exhaustion. WSPA
