  • SLED confirmed it began an investigation in September 2024 into former Spartanburg Sheriff Chuck Wright for alleged misuse of a credit card and possible efforts to acquire drugs — the probe is also examining funds managed by his former chaplain for breach of trust.  The Post and Courier

  • The Spartanburg County GOP made the Sheriff candidate debate free after public backlash and will refund tickets already purchased.
