- ➤ The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a 2009 Nissan Sedan going west went off Martins Lake Road around 12:15 a.m. Saturday and struck a ditch and tree—killing the passenger while the driver's condition remains unconfirmed. WYFF

- ➤ The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office asked the public to help find 80-year-old Gerald Gleen Sparks, who was last seen on July 11 at 1:30 p.m. leaving his Roebuck home for pool in Spartanburg—he had not taken his medications for two days and his blue 2018 Hyundai Elantra missing its rear bumper was recorded traveling through Georgia, Tennessee and into North Carolina with a last camera hit at 1:18 p.m. Saturday. - ➤ The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding 80-year-old Gerald Glenn Sparks, a man with dementia who was last seen leaving his Roebuck home on Hobbysville Road at about 1:30 p.m. on July 11 and whose blue 2018 Hyundai Elantra was later seen traveling through Georgia and Tennessee before entering North Carolina where he was recorded at 1:18 p.m.—residents are urged to call law enforcement with any information.
