CRIME NEWS

➤ The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said five deputies used deadly force on suspect Johnny Andrew Collins on May 29 near Cannon Road after he refused to surrender and raised a hatchet, & the State Law Enforcement Division & the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office are investigating the case. WSPA
➤ Gaffney resident Joshua Wood (46) was fatally shot at a nightclub on West Birnie Street after an argument turned violent; he was taken to Cherokee Medical Center and Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where he died during surgery and officials said the investigation is ongoing. WSPA

➤ Concerts in the Upstate will bring fans local music this summer as performers deliver rock, country and hip-hop shows in Greenville, Spartanburg & Anderson. Luke Bryan will perform in Greenville on July 17 at 7 p.m., Moneybagg Yo and Boosie Badazz will perform in Spartanburg on July 18 at 8 p.m., and Kid Rock and Nickelback will headline the Rock the Country festival in Anderson on July 25 and 26.
