- ➤ Culver’s will open nearly two dozen new restaurants this year, including two in our region—one in Boiling Springs on Boiling Springs Road and one in Greenville on N. Pleasantburg Drive—to bring its Butter Burgers and frozen custard to local fans. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Union police are searching for Charles Mark Young, who allegedly shot and killed a man on Friday near 100 West Henrietta Street in Union—warrants have been issued for murder and weapon charges and he is considered armed and dangerous. WSPA
- ➤ At 3:14 a.m. on Saturday, a 2015 Chevy Tahoe with a driver and two passengers was reported evading officers on Drevo Road in Cherokee County—the car ran off the road at the intersection with Drevo Road Extension and one passenger died at the scene as officers investigated. WSPA
- ➤ South Carolina Highway Patrol said a car chase turned fatal Saturday morning in Cherokee County when a 2015 Chevy Tahoe evading police left Dravo Road and hit a ditch at the intersection of Dravo Road and Dravo Road Extension—one passenger died while the driver and another were unharmed as the investigation continues.
