- ➤ One person died Monday morning after a 2012 GMC SUV left Glenn Springs Road and struck a tree near the intersection with Kirby Road in Spartanburg County—authorities identified the victim as 19-year-old Daniel Blaise Ham from Pauline. WYFF

- ➤ Residents will have the chance to meet nine Spartanburg County sheriff candidates at a free event on July 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spartanburg Community College—located at 220 East Kennedy Street in Spartanburg. WSPA
- ➤ Hundreds of voters turned out at the Spartanburg County Administration Building on Monday for early voting in the special primary election to choose candidates for the unexpired sheriff term and County Council District 3 seat — nine candidates are running for sheriff and six for council — and early voting will continue until August 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. WYFF
