ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fatal crash occurred at 6:10 p.m. Monday night on Brockman McClimon Road & Gateway Drive when a 2019 Jeep collided with a 2006 Honda, leaving 53-year-old Lewis Montgomery Reece dead and the Jeep driver injured and taken to Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital. WSPA

- ➤ On Monday, July 28, a 35-year-old man was sentenced to 35 years in prison after he shot Jason Hammett in the head near Old Spartanburg Highway in Woodruff on June 8 after a falling-out—deputies said two women reported he fired at their car causing it to crash as they fled. WYFF

- ➤ Ric Stephens, 63, is running for Spartanburg County sheriff and plans to use his international law enforcement experience to crack down on drug trafficking by tracking proceeds and seizing assets.
