🎓 Education

The grant funds will assist in purchasing food and providing nutrition education as part of the Nourishing Our Neighbors program.
🏛️ Government
South Carolinians gathered on July 29 at the state house lawn and then at First Baptist Church in Columbia to honor the late Sen. Lindsey Graham with a horse-drawn caisson and F-16 flyover—showing how he worked with both sides.

Spartanburg officials plan a citywide expansion of the SpartaGo micro-transit (which charges $2 per ride and offers 12-minute waits) in coming months.

🏥 Health
Spartanburg nonprofits and local government agencies are advancing the Vital Spartanburg initiative to improve mental-health care, reduce suicides, and curb opioid use.
The plan, active since July 28 at the Regional Healthcare System, will pilot community programs through 2029.
