CRIME NEWS

  • A Spartanburg County man, Thomas Bradley Solesbee, pleaded guilty to charges including trafficking methamphetamine, fentanyl, and possessing firearms and was sentenced to 20 years for drug trafficking that spanned several incidents from August 2020 to March 27—with a $50,000 fine added to his record due to his previous convictions.  WSPA
  • A drug deal at a Simpsonville gas station ended with a 28-year-old Greenville man dying 45 minutes after receiving fentanyl from Mylique McFadden, who was convicted by a federal jury and now faces a minimum 20-year prison term—sentencing to follow after evidence showed he arranged multiple drug sales.  WYFF
  • Captain Steve Henderson, 49, of Duncan, died in a head-on motorcycle crash on Highway 183 at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday when his motorcycle collided with an SUV+ the injured driver was taken to hospital as confirmed by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department, where Henderson served over 19 years.  WYFF

  • Three-year-old Peter Duncan from our area will appear in the annual Down syndrome video presentation in Times Square on Sept. 6 — his mom said he lights up every room he enters. The one-hour show will be livestreamed on Facebook from 9:30-10:30 a.m. ET and kicks off the New York City Buddy Walk events held across the country.  WYFF

  • Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport now offers many affordable flights for late summer and fall 2025—options include one-way trips to Pittsburgh on September 4 and round-trip fares to Boston from October 8 to 15.
