ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 1997 GMC truck rear-ended a disabled dump truck on Highway 101 near Kirby Road in Woodruff just before 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday—resulting in one death as the South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the crash. WYFF
- ➤ A person died when a 1997 GMC pickup truck crashed into an abandoned vehicle on SC 101 near Kirby Road Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m.—the disabled vehicle had been left unattended in the road, authorities said. WSPA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Spartanburg County government experienced another cyberattack when some employee onboarding files, including personal details, were accessed due to outdated servers possibly exploited by phishing emails—officials say they will boost security measures and offer free credit monitoring to all employees. - ➤ A funeral procession will carry fallen Captain Henderson from Dunbar Funeral Home along a planned route—via John B White Senior Boulevard, South Blackstock Road, and Willis Road—before ending at NewSpring Church; the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said he served for over 19 years and urged drivers to respect the procession.
