On Sept. 11, local communities honored the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with memorial services featuring the Boiling Springs Fire District’s new memorial (a recovered steel beam from Ground Zero) and tributes from first responders in Spartanburg and Greenville.

On Friday, Sept. 11, community members gathered at Gibbs Stadium to honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Local leaders, including fire chief Pierre Brewton and Mayor Jerome Rice, led the ceremony with speeches, musical performances, and a respectful tribute as photos captured the event.

Residents across Upstate observed 9/11 remembrance events that honored the heroes and victims with tributes at local monuments and community centers, showcasing unity and a commitment to preserving history.
