CULTURE NEWS

  • The Upstate Renaissance Faire opened Friday, September 12 at the Piedmont Interstate Fairgrounds and will run through Sunday, September 14. Organizer Sharon Murry says the five-year event has grown with over 100 vendors and many family-friendly activities—featuring traditional treats like turkey legs and pickles.  WSPA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The South Carolina Supreme Court lifted a restraining order that blocked the state from releasing sensitive voter data on 3.3 million individuals to the federal government — it will decide on further legal steps in 10 days.  The Post and Courier

  • In Week 3 of SCHSL football, Tre Segarra scored three rushing touchdowns to lift Byrnes over Greer—while top performers from Broome and Woodruff posted strong stats that showed a competitive season in the Upstate.  Go Upstate
