  • Lepore Ristorante Italiano will open soon in downtown Spartanburg at 116 Magnolia St—its menu features Italian dishes by New York chef Michele Lepore and the restaurant is expected to employ over 30 workers. A soft opening is planned before the official launch adds to Magnolia Street’s growing food scene.  The Post and Courier

CULTURE NEWS

  • At Madworld, scare actors spend months training and coordinating efforts to create spooky falls events. Reporter Peyton Furtado joined the crew in costume and said the team works together to prepare for large crowds expected Thursday, Friday, and Saturday—just ahead of Halloween.  WYFF

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Today, Spartanburg Academic Movement and Movement 2030 launched Big Mo — a program that helps over 3,000 seniors at nine public high schools with FAFSA assistance, deadline reminders, and college guidance.
