BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Upstate hemp farmers are worried because a new federal rule redefines hemp to include seed growing and lowers THC limits — changes that will take effect next year and may force businesses like Lee Ford’s in Travelers Rest to lay off workers or close. Ford, who has run his greenhouse for eight years, said the rule could leave shelves empty if lawmakers do not adjust the provisions. WYFF

Wright Greenway extension on the southside that adds 1.25 miles from the current trail end at Marion Ave and Hudson L Barksdale Boulevard to connect residents to the Daniel Morgan Trail System—costing $468,000 with $365,000 from a state grant while construction will take a couple months.
