- ➤ The Geminid meteor shower, known for vivid colors and fireballs, will peak Saturday, Dec. 13, offering stargazers in Spartanburg a chance to see up to 150 meteors per hour under dark skies from around 9 or 10 p.m. until early Sunday morning. Go Upstate

- ➤ The Children’s Museum of the Upstate in Spartanburg has served over 30,000 annual visitors since opening in 2018 and recently added a 1,300 sqft literacy exhibit, Storyburg, at its downtown location (130 Magnolia St.). It will soon host a Winter Wonderland holiday feature. The Post and Courier
