  • For Monday's drawing, two winning Powerball tickets were sold in Spartanburg and Simpsonville. A ticket from Hot Spot (194 E. Henry St.) won $100,000 and another from Mike and Jack (430 SE Main St.) won $50,000; players have 180 days to claim prizes.  WYFF

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Generational cattle farmers in Pickens County face rising feed and production costs amid supply shortages and border restrictions for the New World Screwworm — they expect updated cattle counts by late January to guide future herd management. Persistent challenges may drive up beef prices into 2026.  WYFF

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • USC Upstate celebrated Arbor Day today as it marked its 17th consecutive year as a Tree Campus USA. Nationally recognized naturalist Josh Arrants urged using native plants for biodiversity while board chair Suzy Cole tied green spaces to student well-being.  Spartanburg.com

FINANCE NEWS
